What should you take with you for your stay at a rehabilitation center?

So you’ve made the decision to begin the process of recovery and you’re wondering what you should bring with you. It’s an important first step and by committing yourself to recovery, you’re opening a door to a healthier and happier life. However, that’s not why you’re here. As a part of the rehabilitation process, you’ll need to leave behind quite a few things that promote some of the negative behavioral patterns you have.

This isn’t to say you leave everything behind, but when you go into the facility, you’re there to open your mind to a new perspective and break some of the old habits that got you there in the first place. Remember, the things you leave behind are only gone temporarily, and once you’re done, you return to them. It’s important to give your entire self to the process in order for it to work.

Don’t fixate on all of the things you’re not allowed to bring, because as we said, they aren’t gone forever. however, anything that could distract you from your end goal of recovery is not allowed, and to get into the details, here’s what you can and cannot bring.
